Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
At Berkshire Elementary, student safety and a smooth start and end to each school day are top priorities. Please take a moment to review our procedures to ensure your child arrives safely, is on time, and is dismissed efficiently each day.
- Morning Arrival: School doors open at 7:20 AM. For safety reasons, students should not arrive before this time, as supervision is not available. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 7:20 AM to 7:35 AM, and students should be in their classrooms and ready to learn by the 7:40 AM bell. After 7:40 AM, students are marked tardy and must enter through the front office.
- Afternoon Dismissal: To help us ensure your child gets home safely, families are asked to complete the Dismissal Form at the beginning of the school year. Staff will follow the instructions provided to assist students each afternoon.
- Bus and daycare riders are escorted to their transportation.
- AlphaBEST students are dismissed to the cafeteria under staff supervision.
- Walkers, bike riders, and car riders follow designated procedures outlined below.
Thank you for partnering with us to make arrival and dismissal safe and successful for every Berkshire Bear!
